We would like to remind everyone that ambient street lighting in Bayshore Village is provided by the lanterns that we all have on our front yards. As such, it is very important that lanterns function properly for the safety of those using our streets after dark.
A recent review of all homes in Bayshore Village found a significant number of lanterns not functioning. Please verify that your lantern is working properly. To provide adequate lighting the lantern should have a 60 Watt bulb (or equivalent 800 lumen LED light). The preferred colour is soft white. The lantern is required to be illuminated from dusk to dawn. This can be through a light sensor or a timer. If a timer is used that does not automatically adjust for time changes and seasons, please be sure to reset the timer as required throughout the year.
