At 9:30 am, the parade started, led by Bayshore Village Association president Gunther Gratzer holding a Canadian flag and Diane and Paul Stoner holding Bayshore's 50th Anniversary flag. Brightlydecorated golf carts, cool cars, kids and adults on bicycles, three fire trucks, and spectacularly decorated floats were the highlights of the parade. The Fitness Group won first prize for their float that featured people dressed up as cows, while other members of their group carried humorous signs. There was lots of laughter, tons of waving and cheering in an atmosphere of fun as people either participated in or watched the parade.
